With over 27 years in the industry, Andy brings passion, precision, and personality to the Northies kitchen. Originally from Scotland, his culinary journey started at Witchery by the Castle and took him from air-con installer to junior sous chef in no time. After moving to Sydney, Andy worked across some of the city’s top venues before joining Northies, where he’s led the kitchen team for the last 3 years.
Andy is known for his love of honest, high-quality cooking and his no-fuss approach in the kitchen. He champions fresh ingredients, sustainability, and food made properly - with care, flavour, and consistency. His favourite dish on the menu? The pork cutlet, balanced perfectly with his take on traditional apple sauce. give it a try next time you're in!
For Andy, Northies is more than just work. It’s close to home, by the beach, and filled with locals he loves cooking for. His goal? To keep raising the bar and make Northies one of the Shire’s best dining spots.
